US Seeks Contact with Detained Binance Employee in Nigeria
The US embassy in Nigeria is seeking to make direct contact with Binance executive Tigran Gambaryan, who is currently being held in the country. An anonymous source familiar with the matter told Daily Hodl that US authorities are concerned about the deteriorating health of Gambaryan, who is a US citizen. "While it wouldn't be right to say they are lobbying, they are concerned about not having access to a US citizen who has been detained in a foreign country," the source said. Gambaryan's wife has appealed to the US government to do more to help him and to exhaust every available resource to bring an innocent American citizen home. Meanwhile, a Nigerian court will hear a bail application by Gambaryan on October 9 (local time).
