SEC-Registered Companies are Expanding their Investments in Spot Bitcoin Exchange Traded Funds
SEC Registered Companies Investing in Spot Bitcoin ETFs CryptoQuant CEO Ki Young Ju has highlighted a significant trend in the cryptocurrency market: an increasing number of companies registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) are investing in spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs). Upon reviewing documents submitted to the SEC, it was found that approximately 80 companies hold shares in spot Bitcoin ETFs. This accounts for roughly 17% of total ETF holdings. While not all of these companies can be classified as institutional investors, a substantial number are actively investing in spot Bitcoin ETFs. This development suggests a growing recognition and acceptance of Bitcoin as a legitimate investment asset among traditional financial institutions and companies. As more SEC-registered companies allocate funds to spot Bitcoin ETFs, it reinforces the growing institutional adoption of Bitcoin and its potential as a long-term investment.
