ViaBTC Earns 40.75 BTC in Transaction Fees, Other Rewards Post Bitcoin Halving
ViaBTC, the miner who mined the 840,000th block marking the start of the fourth Bitcoin halving, received around 40.75 BTC in transaction fee rewards and block rewards. This was worth about $2.6 million at the time of mining. While the block reward has been reduced to 3.125 BTC after the halving, the transaction fees amounted to a significant 37.626 BTC. The Bitcoin network reached the 840,000th block, where the fourth halving took place, on April 20, 2023, at approximately 9:09 AM KST.
