WazirX Hacker Increases ETH Holdings to Over $200 Million

On-chain data analytics platform Spot On Chain has reported that the WazirX hacker has significantly increased their ETH holdings to 59,097 ETH, valued at approximately $201 million. This marks a substantial increase in their ETH holdings, which currently account for the majority of their crypto assets. The hacker's ETH holdings include 15,298 ETH, which was acquired during the WazirX hack. The remaining 43,799 ETH was obtained through the sale of various altcoins, including SHIB, MATIC, PEPE, and others. In addition to ETH, the hacker has also accumulated altcoins worth over $12 million, including CHR, CELR, OOKI, and FRONT. These altcoins are believed to have been acquired using the proceeds from the sale of ETH. The hacker continues to hold their ETH and altcoins, and there has been no significant movement of funds. It remains unclear what the hacker's intentions are, but their increased ETH holdings suggest that they may be preparing for future transactions or activities. The WazirX hack, which occurred in August 2022, resulted in the theft of approximately $5.8 million worth of crypto assets. The hacker exploited a vulnerability in WazirX's security system to gain access to user funds.
