WazirX Hacker Transfers $12.8 Million in ETH to New Address
WazirX, a popular cryptocurrency exchange in India, fell victim to a massive hack recently. The hacker managed to make away with a significant amount of user funds, including ETH, BTC, and USDT. According to blockchain analytics firm iChainfo, the hacker's alleged address starting with 0x3618 moved 5,001 ETH (worth approximately $12.8 million) to another address starting with 0x5FE2. This transaction was identified and reported by iChainfo on August 10, 2023. The WazirX hack has raised concerns about the security of cryptocurrency exchanges and the need for robust security measures to protect user funds.
