Xociety, Web3 Shooter Built on Sui, Secures $7.5M in Funding

Xociety, a Web3 shooter game built on the Sui blockchain, has raised $7.5 million in a pre-Series A funding round. The funding round was led by HashKey and the Sui Foundation, with participation from Spartan, Neo, Big Brain Holdings, and Krafton. The funds will be used to further develop the game and bring it to market. Xociety is expected to launch in full before the end of the year. "We are excited to partner with HashKey and the Sui Foundation to bring Xociety to life," said Xociety CEO and co-founder Justin Kan. "This funding will allow us to continue to develop the game and bring it to a global audience." Xociety is a third-person shooter that combines traditional gaming elements with Web3 technology. Players can collect and trade NFTs, earn rewards for completing quests, and participate in player-versus-player battles. The game is designed to be accessible to both casual and hardcore gamers. Xociety will also feature a play-to-mint event in July, which will allow players to earn NFTs by playing the game. "We believe that Xociety has the potential to be a major player in the Web3 gaming space," said HashKey CEO Michael Wong. "The game is well-designed and has a strong team behind it. We are excited to see what the future holds for Xociety."
