ZkSync Governance Token Airdrop Anticipated in Late June

Coindesk reports that zkSync, an Ethereum (ETH) layer-2 network based on zero-knowledge (zk), may conduct its governance token airdrop in late June. According to zkSync, "the v24 upgrade is the final upgrade needed before we can hand over network governance to the community, and the remaining missing pieces are expected to be completed by the end of June." The zkSync development team previously announced that the v24 upgrade would occur on the 16th and could take approximately 24 hours. This airdrop has been highly anticipated within the crypto community, as zkSync is seen as a promising scaling solution for Ethereum. The network uses zk-Rollups to process transactions off-chain, significantly reducing gas fees and increasing transaction speeds. Stay tuned for further updates on the zkSync governance token airdrop and the upcoming v24 upgrade.
