Celestia, the modular blockchain network, has successfully implemented its major "Matcha" upgrade. This upgrade, executed on Monday, brings significant performance enhancements and economic adjustments to the network. A key change is the dramatic increase in throughput. The maximum block size has been expanded from 8MB to a substantial 128MB, allowing for more data to be processed per block and improving transaction speeds. This was achieved by optimized data propagation method for faster dissemination of information across the network. The Matcha upgrade also addresses tokenomics. Annual token inflation has been reduced from approximately 5% to around 2.5%, aiming for a more sustainable long-term economic model. Finally, the cross-chain bridge token filter has been removed. This will simplify the process of transferring non-TIA (Celestia's native token) assets through Celestia, fostering greater interoperability and utility within the ecosystem. The upgrade positions Celestia as a more efficient and versatile platform for modular blockchain applications. ```
