Upbit, a major South Korean cryptocurrency exchange, recently experienced a security breach resulting in the loss of approximately 54 billion KRW worth of assets from its Solana network holdings. The incident, detected around 04:42 on November 27th, involved the unauthorized transfer of assets to an external wallet. Immediately upon discovering the abnormal transaction, Upbit initiated an emergency security review of its network and wallet system. The exchange moved remaining assets to a cold wallet to prevent further losses. Upbit reports that they have frozen approximately 12 billion KRW worth of Solayer and are actively tracking the remaining stolen assets. The exchange has assured its users that the losses incurred due to the hack will be fully covered by Upbit's own assets. The affected crypto assets include Double Zero(2Z), Access Protocol(ACS), Bonk(BONK), Doodles(DOOD), and many more, all part of the Solana ecosystem. This incident highlights the ever-present risks associated with cryptocurrency exchanges and the importance of robust security measures. ```
