ALEX (previously known as ALEX), a layer-2 bridge protocol for bitcoin defi, operating under XLink's official X (formerly Twitter) recently announced that "all user assets stolen from a smart contract exploit on BSC have been recovered." In connection with this, XLink stated, "We were able to recover the stolen assets with the help of white hats, and we appreciate their support." Last night, blockchain security firm Certik reported that suspicious and unusual transactions worth $4.3 million were detected due to a sudden contract upgrade on the Alex protocol bridge, and the Alex team announced that they had frozen the relevant funds by working with major exchanges to recover the stolen assets.
