Argentina, El Salvador Talk Up 'BTC Adoption' Argentina has held high-level talks with El Salvador over the adoption of Bitcoin (BTC). Roberto Silva, head of the National Securities Commission (CNV) of Argentina, recently met with the President of El Salvador's National Digital Asset Commission (CNAD), Juan Carlos Reyes, to discuss crypto. "El Salvador has positioned itself as one of the leading countries, not only in the use of Bitcoin but also in the crypto market," said Silva. "The creation of the CNAD by the Salvadoran government was an excellent decision. We hope to continue strengthening ties and working together with El Salvador in this area." El Salvador became the first country in the world to accept Bitcoin as legal tender in September 2021, despite concerns from the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
