Binance Compliance Head Tigran Gambaryan Faints in Nigerian Court, Family Raises Concerns over Medical Negligence

- According to Coindesk, the family of Tigran Gambaryan, Binance's head of financial crime compliance, has expressed concerns over his health after he fainted during a hearing over money laundering charges in a Nigerian court on May 24. Gambaryan, who was detained in Nigeria in February, was reportedly rushed to the hospital in critical condition. A family spokesperson stated that despite a judge's order, Gambaryan has not been transferred from prison to a proper medical facility. The spokesperson said Gambaryan's wife is "shocked" by the authorities' failure to follow the court order and expressed concern that he is being subjected to inhumane treatment. They added that the medical facilities in prison are inadequate and that Gambaryan may be suffering from malaria. The Nigerian authorities have not yet commented on Gambaryan's condition or the family's allegations.
