According to mempool data, an 'empty block' was mined on the Bitcoin network about 15 minutes ago. It was mined 27 seconds after the previous block was mined. An empty block refers to a block that contains no data other than the 'coinbase transaction', which allocates the miner's reward to the miner. Previously on 22 April 2024, another empty block was mined on the Bitcoin network.
