$1.39 Billion Worth of Bitcoin Options Expire Today

Today, August 16, at 5:02 PM KST, approximately $1.39 billion worth of Bitcoin options will expire, according to cryptocurrency options exchange Deribit. The put/call ratio is 0.83, and the max pain price is $59,500. Additionally, approximately $473 million worth of Ethereum options will also expire at the same time, with a put/call ratio of 0.80 and a max pain price of $2,650. The expiration of these options will have a significant impact on the Bitcoin and Ethereum markets. If the price of Bitcoin falls below $59,500, it will put downward pressure on the price. Conversely, if the price of Bitcoin rises above $59,500, it will put upward pressure on the price.
