BlackRock's Bitcoin ETF Dominates Inflows, Surpassing Small-cap ETF

BlackRock's physically backed bitcoin exchange-traded fund (IBIT) has witnessed remarkable success, accumulating $20.5 billion in net inflows this year alone. This staggering figure dwarfs the combined $1.3 billion inflows garnered by non-physical bitcoin ETFs throughout 375 launches during the same period. ETF Store CEO Nate Geraci highlights the dominance of BlackRock's IBIT, along with Fidelity's FBTC, Ark 21Shares' ARKB, and Bitwise's BITB, eclipsing the size of the iShares Russell 2000 ETF (IWM), a prominent tracker of small-cap U.S. stocks. This underscores the growing institutional adoption of bitcoin and the increasing recognition of its potential as an asset class.
