BNB Chain's Tycho Hard Fork to Enhance Blockchain Efficiency in Mid-June

BNB Smart Chain (BSC) is set to undergo the Tycho hard fork on its mainnet in mid-June. This upgrade will introduce blob transactions to the network, significantly improving Layer 2 rollups' efficiency and solidifying its decentralized structure. Blob transactions are handled differently by BSC and Ethereum (ETH). BSC directly integrates blob blocks into nodes, while ETH stores them in the consensus layer. This implementation will reduce dApps' dependency on external storage solutions, strengthening BSC's decentralized nature. Previously on May 15, 2024, BNB Chain announced the Tycho hard fork's upcoming application to the BSC mainnet. It had previously been tested on the BSC testnet.
