China's Shanxi Provincial Public Security Bureau Arrests Four Cryptocurrency Fraud Suspects

Shanxi Provincial Public Security Bureau in China has detained four suspects for cryptocurrency fraud. After receiving a report from a victim who lost 410,000 yuan (approximately $78,000) in cryptocurrency, the bureau launched an investigation. On July 23 (local time), four suspects were apprehended in Zhengzhou and Kaifeng cities in Henan Province. Although cryptocurrency transactions are prohibited in mainland China, they persist in specific regions. Law enforcement agencies continue to monitor and crack down on such activities. The arrested suspects remain under detention and are subject to further investigation.
