ConsenSys CEO Rules Out Traditional US Stock Market IPO

Ethereum (ETH) co-founder and ConsenSys founder Joseph Lubin has ruled out a traditional initial public offering (IPO) for the company on a stock exchange like Nasdaq. Speaking at a crypto conference in Berlin, Lubin said that ConsenSys has "thought about it for a long time," but that it would not be pursuing an IPO in the traditional sense. Lubin explained that there are "various ways to do listings in the crypto ecosystem," such as launching protocols, tokenizing protocols, or spinning out business units like MetaMask or LIFI. However, he added that if ConsenSys does decide to list in any way, it would be something that "leverages blockchain technology." ```
