SkyBridge Capital Founder: 'It's Premature to Label Harris Anti-Crypto'

SkyBridge Capital Founder Says It's Premature to Label Harris Anti-Crypto Anthony Scaramucci, the founder of SkyBridge Capital, has argued that it's "premature" to judge Kamala Harris' stance on cryptocurrency based on her decision not to attend the Bitcoin 2024 conference. Scaramucci pointed out that former US President Donald Trump had also made negative comments about Bitcoin in the past, but his administration later became more open to cryptocurrency. He believes that Harris, who has not taken a public stance on crypto, could be open-minded about the issue. "I think it's premature to label her anti-crypto," Scaramucci said. "I think she's trying to figure out what her position is going to be." Scaramucci also emphasized that it's better to have both Democrats and Republicans on the side of the crypto industry, rather than labeling one side as the enemy. "We need to have a bipartisan approach to this," he said. "We need to have people from both sides of the aisle who are willing to work with us and understand the benefits of this technology." Earlier, Bitcoin Magazine CEO David Bailey had tweeted, "Welp, Kamala Harris just pulled out of speaking at Bitcoin 2024. What could she possibly have to say to us after presiding over the suppression of our developers, the offshoring of our industry, and the assault on PoW? All eyes on Trump now." However, Scaramucci believes that Harris' decision not to attend the conference does not necessarily mean that she is anti-crypto. "I think she's just trying to be careful," he said. "She's trying to figure out what her position is going to be. I think it's too early to judge her."
