Ethereum's Inflation Rate Surges to Two-Quarter High

Ethereum's inflation rate has climbed to its highest point in two quarters, according to a recent report by Fidelity Digital Assets. Over the past six months, the issuance of new ETH tokens as a proportion of its total supply reached 0.37%, the highest quarterly inflation rate on record. The report indicates that while a sustained and significant increase in ETH issuance is unlikely in the near to medium term, expanding adoption of low-fee Layer 2 solutions and higher staking demand could result in moderately elevated issuance.
