Franklin Templeton Files S-1 for New Crypto Index ETF

Franklin Templeton, a global asset management giant, has filed an S-1 (securities registration statement) with the SEC for a new exchange-traded fund (ETF) called the Franklin Templeton Crypto Index ETF (DIARX).  The ETF will track the CF Digital Asset Index (INDEXCF), which is comprised of Bitcoin and Ethereum. Bitcoin, being the largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, and Ethereum, the second-largest cryptocurrency, represent a significant portion of the overall cryptocurrency market. DIARX will provide investors with a diversified exposure to the cryptocurrency market through a single investment. The ETF is expected to launch on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) under the ticker symbol DIARX.  The fund's objective is to provide investors with long-term capital appreciation through exposure to the cryptocurrency market. The fund will invest in a portfolio of digital assets, including bitcoin and ether, and may also invest in other digital assets or instruments that provide exposure to the cryptocurrency market. The fund is managed by Franklin Templeton Investments, a global investment management firm with over 70 years of experience in managing traditional and alternative assets. The fund's investment advisor is Franklin Advisers, Inc., a subsidiary of Franklin Templeton Investments.
