Blockchain security firm SlowMist's founder Cos (@余弦) raised the alarm on Twitter, revealing that a phishing attack orchestrated by notorious cryptocurrency phishing site creator Inferno Drainer had resulted in the theft of 55.47 million DAI (approximately $181 million). Investigators believe the attack may have been facilitated by a compromised DSProxy address associated with the Ethereum smart contract wallet of the targeted entity. This method closely resembles the hack that previously plagued the Wyvern Protocol employed by prominent NFT marketplace OpenSea. It's crucial to exercise caution when interacting with online platforms, particularly those involving cryptocurrency transactions.
