Vivek Ramaswamy Predicts Kamala Harris Will Alter Crypto Stance if She Runs for President

Vivek Ramaswamy, a former Republican presidential candidate, predicted that Vice President Kamala Harris would change her position on cryptocurrency policy if she runs for president in the future. "If she runs for president, she is going to have to appeal to the crypto crowd, and so her position on the crypto industry is going to have to change," Ramaswamy said on CNBC Wednesday. "The question is whether she's just going to pay lip service or actually have some kind of concrete thoughts and whether she's going to reappoint Gary Gensler as SEC chair." Ramaswamy's comments come amid growing interest in cryptocurrency among both investors and policymakers. Harris has not yet taken a public stance on cryptocurrency, but her administration has taken steps to regulate the industry. In March 2022, the Biden administration issued an executive order calling for a coordinated government approach to regulating cryptocurrencies.
