Korea Electric Power, Chargein Step into Indonesian Electric Vehicle Charging Market

Korea Electric Power, Chargein, and other companies have taken the first step into the Indonesian electric vehicle (EV) charging market. On the 23rd, Korea Electric Power announced that it signed an MOU with Indonesia's electric power university, IT PLN, Chargein, a blockchain-based electric vehicle charging infrastructure sharing platform EVZ developer, and Tide Korea, a domestic energy innovation company to promote electric vehicle charging export pilot projects. These companies aim to provide a comprehensive solution for EV charging in Indonesia, covering infrastructure development, charging technology, and energy management. This move is significant as Indonesia has a rapidly growing automotive market and a strong commitment to promoting EVs. The government aims to have 2 million EVs on the road by 2025. The partnership between these companies will help accelerate the adoption of EVs in Indonesia and contribute to the country's sustainability goals.
