Merlinchain Upgrades: BTC Unstaking Function Now Live

### Marlinchain Releases BTC Unstaking Function Merlinchain (MERL), a Bitcoin Layer 2 solution, has announced the release of the BTC unstaking function. This feature allows users to unstake their BTC, which has been staked on Merlinchain to earn rewards. Users can choose to unstake their BTC to either a Layer 1 (gas fees required) or Layer 2 (no gas fees) wallet. The unstaking times are 3 days for Layer 1 and 24 hours for Layer 2. ### How to Unstake Your BTC To unstake your BTC, you will need to follow these steps: 1. Go to the Merlinchain website and connect your wallet. 2. Click on the "Unstake" tab. 3. Enter the amount of BTC you want to unstake. 4. Select the unstaking method (Layer 1 or Layer 2). 5. Click on the "Unstake" button. ### Other Updates from Merlinchain In addition to the BTC unstaking function, Merlinchain has also announced that it will soon be supporting BRC-20 unstaking. This will allow users to unstake their BRC-20 tokens, which have been staked on Merlinchain to earn rewards. ### Previously on [date] Merlinchain (MERL), a Bitcoin Layer 2 solution, announced via its official X (formerly Twitter) account on the 25th that it has "released the BTC unstaking function." Users who have not claimed M-BTC (the liquid staking token that can be staked and earned on Merlinchain) can unstake their BTC to either a Layer 1 (gas fees required) or Layer 2 (no gas fees) wallet, with unstaking times of 3 days and 24 hours respectively. Users who have claimed their M-BTC can swap their M-BTC for BTC at a 1:1 ratio, with the BTC being unstaked to their wallet upon completion of the swap. Withdrawals via the Merlin Bridge are also possible, but require users to hold gas fees in their wallet. In addition, Merlinchain added that once the BTC unstaking function is fully launched, BRC-20 unstaking will be supported.
