OKX Reimburses Stolen Funds, Enforces Google OTP for Security

Blockchain.com recently reported on Twitter that OKX has fully compensated two users who claimed to have had their assets stolen from the exchange. The exchange suspects that the theft occurred due to compromised SMS and email accounts. To prevent similar incidents in the future, OKX has decided to make Google OTP (Google Authenticator) mandatory. The exchange had previously acknowledged a report of stolen assets on October 10th and initiated an investigation. This move by OKX demonstrates its commitment to protecting user funds and enhancing security measures on the platform. By implementing Google OTP, the exchange aims to add an extra layer of protection against unauthorized access and potential thefts.
