Samson Mow: 'Ripple's Tether FUD Is No Surprise' as XRP, USDT, Ripple Battle Continues

Samson Mow, CEO of Bitcoin tech firm JAN3 and El Salvador's Bitcoin law advisor, has accused Ripple (XRP) of using Tether (USDT) fear, uncertainty, and doubt (FUD) to promote its upcoming stablecoin. Mow tweeted: "Ripple actively spreading FUD about Tether to deflect attention to their own upcoming stablecoin announcement...not surprising given Ripple's $5 million donation to Greenpeace after their Bitcoin mining environmental impact attack." Meanwhile, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse, who announced a Ripple stablecoin in June, said the "US government is coming for Tether." Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino countered by saying: "The CEO of a company under SEC investigation is now spreading FUD about USDT after announcing a competing stablecoin product to USDT." Previously on May 15, 2024: "Samson Mow claimed Ripple is spreading FUD about Tether to promote their stablecoin, while Ripple CEO Garlinghouse warned of US government action against Tether, which Tether CEO Ardoino denied."
