SEC Again Postpones Decision on Bitcoin Spot ETF Option

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has once again delayed its decision on whether to approve a Bitcoin spot ETF option. The latest postponement pushes the deadline to May 29, according to The Block. This is the second time the SEC has pushed back its decision on the New York Stock Exchange’s (NYSE) request to list and trade a Bitcoin spot ETF option. Previously on April 25, 2024, the SEC postponed its decision to May 16. The reason for the delays has not been disclosed by the SEC, but it is likely due to the complex nature of the issue and the need for careful consideration.
