Solana Spot ETF: Bloomberg Analyst Weighs In on CNBC Panel Discussion

James Seyffart, a Bloomberg ETF analyst, has suggested that the recent approval of an Ethereum spot ETF could pave the way for a similar product tracking Solana (SOL). During a CNBC panel discussion, Seyffart highlighted the importance of a futures market with CFTC regulatory oversight in increasing the odds of a spot ETF for SOL. However, he also acknowledged that the SEC has previously classified SOL as a security in its case against Coinbase and Kraken. Seyffart believes that if a spot ETF for SOL were to be approved under the current regulatory regime, it likely wouldn't occur before 2026.
