Solana Spot ETF 'Likely To Happen' But Will Take Time, Says VanEck CEO

VanEck CEO Jan Van Eck recently shared his thoughts on the possibility of a Solana (SOL) spot ETF in an interview with CNBC's Squawk Box. While he expressed optimism about its eventual approval, he cautioned against expecting a near-term launch. "I do think a SOL spot ETF is likely to happen," Van Eck said. "However, it's going to take time to get it approved and launched." Van Eck's comments align with the broader regulatory landscape for crypto ETFs in the United States. The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has yet to approve a spot ETF for any cryptocurrency, although it has approved several futures-based ETFs.
