The upgrade will involve upgrading to Cosmos SDK version 45.16, removing unused legacy code, removing unnecessary Cosmos modules, optimizing node status, and supporting Bitcoin Taproot addresses. This upgrade is expected to improve the overall stability and performance of the THORChain network. It is also expected to make it easier for users to interact with the network and to make it more secure. THORChain is a decentralized cross-chain liquidity network that allows users to trade cryptocurrencies without having to go through a centralized exchange.
