On Thursday, four masked men reportedly kidnapped the victim and then killed him. The perpetrators allegedly stole about 3 BTC worth over $200,000 from him, according to The Block. The incident occurred shortly after attendees of ETHcc in Brussels were targeted by thieves, heightening concerns about the safety of crypto holders. Casa co-founder Jameson Lopp warned against complacency, observing an increase in the targeting of social media, meetups, and conferences for information on crypto holders. He urged individuals to exercise caution in their crypto-related activities. The perpetrators are currently in custody.
