US Stock Market Closes Mixed, S&P 500 Rises Slightly

The three major US stock indices closed mixed on Monday, with the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite posting modest gains, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average declined slightly. The S&P 500 index rose by 0.08%, closing at 4,007.46 points, driven by gains in technology and healthcare stocks. The technology-heavy Nasdaq Composite index also gained 0.07%, ending the day at 12,939.96. On the other hand, the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell by 0.12% to 33,961.16 points. The index was dragged down by losses in industrial and consumer goods stocks.
