VanEck Updates Ethereum Spot ETF Filing with SEC

VanEck has submitted an updated version of its S-1 registration statement for its Ethereum spot exchange-traded fund (ETF) to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). This follows the SEC's approval of eight Ethereum spot ETF 19b-4s, as reported by Bloomberg ETF specialist Eric Balchunas. The updated S-1 reflects the most recent developments and provides additional information requested by the SEC. VanEck expects the SEC to make a decision on the ETF's approval by May 16, 2023. If approved, the ETF would give investors exposure to the price of Ethereum without having to purchase and store the underlying asset themselves. VanEck's ETF is one of several Ethereum spot ETFs that are currently under review by the SEC. The approval of these ETFs would represent a significant development for the cryptocurrency industry, providing investors with a convenient and regulated way to invest in Ethereum.
