Venezuela Seizes 6,000 Bitcoin Mining Machines

Venezuela’s Ministry of Electric Power and state-owned electrical company Corpoelec have seized over 6,000 bitcoin (BTC) mining machines during two recent operations. The move is part of a crackdown on crypto mining operations in the country in an effort to improve Venezuela’s electricity situation. Previously, the Ministry of Electric Power raided a bitcoin mining farm located in the industrial zone of the state of Carabobo, seizing 11,000 mining machines. The government has been cracking down on crypto mining operations in the country, blaming them for the country's electricity problems. In recent months, the government has increased its efforts to seize mining machines and shut down mining operations.
