Vitalik Buterin: 'Tornado Cash developer's jail sentence is unfortunate'

Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has said the jailing of Tornado Cash developer Alexey Pertsev was “unfortunate,” according to Decrypt. Buterin made the comments at the DappCon conference in Berlin, where he said he supports “privacy-enhancing crypto tools.” Buterin added that he hopes “they will continue to play a positive role in the ecosystem and that governments will come to appreciate their value.” When asked about a potential spot Ethereum exchange-traded fund (ETF) in the United States, Buterin declined to comment. ---
